Breed Rescue
Melissa is an active member in the dog community and is heavily involved in breed rescue & fostering, so it isn't surprising that she has some strong opinions about this stuff!
We feel that this is a great place to start learning about breed rescue, and hope that this page serves as a launching pad into the rewording experience you will find in the rescue community.
Please keep in mind that we are not affiliated with any of these rescue orgs, and these are only our opinions...
Rescue people are amazingly passionate about what they do. Ask questions. Meet dogs. Get to know the way the organization works, and most of all... ASK QUESTIONS!
Also remember these are all people who are volunteering their time & money for the good of the dogs, so cut them some slack when possible!
Italian Greyhounds of Colorado
Website for the local Italian Greyhound rescue group I volunteer for. We are an IGCA rescue.
Italian Greyhound Club of America
The national club for Italian Greyhounds. And the one I volunteer for.
Black Russian Terrier Club of America
The parent club for my other breed, the Black Russian Terrier. I am also a member. This club handles national rescue for the breed.
Another local Colorado rescue (for boxers) that does an amazing job at what they do!
